DRW to collect used rugs for Atlanta foster care homes

April '09 - Designer Rug Warehouse (DRW), Atlanta based rug store will spread some hope this spring by collecting unwanted, used rugs in their store throughout the month of May as part of their Area Rug Trade-in Event. Every piece that is brought in will be donated to local foster care homes in Atlanta. "As a thank you gift to our customers for donating their rugs, DRW will give upto $2,500 credit to be used toward purchase of a new rug." said Thomas Johnson, Store Manager for DRW

DRW is located on the Westside of Atlanta (Designer Warehouse District). The rugs brought in will be distributed to foster care agencies in May which is National Foster Care month. “It is our pleasure to give our customers this special savings for helping out such a worthy cause.” said Thomas Johnson.

Atlanta based area rug retailer DRW announced Friday it will liquidate its old stock rugs below wholesale prices.

January '09 - (I-Newswire) - A lot of people rushed to Designer Rug Warehouse to take advantage of the Area rug store's clearance sale Saturday. Everything from contemporary to classic and casual rugs are on sale at deeply discounted prices. The 4-year old area rug retailer announced Friday it will liquidate its old stock rugs and according to its store manager " all area rug prices are drastically dropped, no gimmicks and clearance sales will run as long as it takes to sell overstocked inventory."  However, the company expects sales to continue to the end of April.

Customer Matt A. said he plans to come back with his color swatches to the store looking for the great bargain. To finally purchase the 9x12 wool Persian rug his wife wanted for months. “I was waiting to get the best deal I could possibly get," he said pointing to the large Persian Heriz rug display.

Designer Rug Warehouse (DRW) begins to offer interest-free financing for rugs

April '08 - The Designer Rug Warehouse said yesterday that it would begin to offering interest- free financing plans for the rugs purchased in the store. DRW decided to offer it after tremendous requests made by its customers.

According to Thomas Johnson, Designer Rug Warehouse’s store manager, eligible DRW clients can now receive free 12-months financing to purchase any area rugs in the store only. Applications can be processed within minutes for credit lines up to $20,000. The new program is backed by American General Financing Solutions.
